Who the heck is Milo?
Milo is Jamie & Nay's Golden Retriever. He is a steadfast companion. A willing participant of daily walks around the community. He is a vigilant part of our neighborhood watch and an avid fan of Jamie's Music. His birthday has been celebrated every Thanksgiving and is always happy to answer customer questions. Oh, his favortite passtime is sniffing the air and chasing lizards. He loves the smell of bacon, chicken and cheese (though mom carefuly monitors what he gets as a snack). Start a game of tug-a-war at your own risk. He loves blamkets, stuffed toys and anything that squeaks. He is by far the bestest boss we could have!
What speaker cabinets and/or microphones do you use?
Each profile is unique. We chose a speaker cabinet that we feel compliments the amplifier best. Most guitar speaker cabinets are mic'd up with a Shure SM57 and a Cascade Fathead although we may occationally use other mics as needed. The blend and placement of the two mics varies from profile to profile depending on what we think works best for that particular tone. Direct profiles are captured using a Two Notes Torpedo (except for solid state amps which simply use the line out). Bass speaker cabinets are mic'd up with either a Shure Beta 52A, an Audix D6, an EV RE20, or a Warm Audio WA47jr. Many of the bass studio profiles include a little bit of direct signal blended in with the mic'd up speaker, but not all do. I just depends on what works best for each individual profile.
